This website news: "When I saw someone had lost an iPad, I put myself in their shoes and asked myself, what if I had lost something of great value?" Chad student,MAHAMAT NOUR ALI MAHAMAT ZENE (Chinese name: Mo Ali) thought this way when he found the device. This decision driven by empathy initiated a warm campus relay.

At around 9:00 p.m. on September 18th, two international students from Chad, Yaya and Mo Ali, majoring in Business Administration in the 2024 grade of the School of Economics and Management, found a lost iPad in the basket of a shared bicycle near the gym in the Sanjiang Campus (East Garden). After discussing, they immediately handed over the device to a school teacher and voluntarily explained the situation. Under the coordinated efforts of multiple leaders and teachers from the International Education College and the Student Affairs Department, the information about the lost iPad was quickly spread through the class groups of various colleges by the counselors. At around 10:30 p.m. that night, the iPad was successfully returned to its owner.

"I'm so shocked! How could I have lost my tablet?" said the owner, a student from Class 233 of the Electronic Information Engineering major at the School of Information Engineering (School of Artificial Intelligence). He explained that he had just bought the iPad recently, but it contained many of his study notes. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the teacher and the two Chadian students: "The teacher was very responsible and promptly forwarded the lost and found notice on the same day. The 'honesty' of the Chadian students also deeply touched me. I sincerely thank them and am very willing to be friends with them."

It is known that two international students, Yaya and Mo Ali, like many other international students, love Chinese life and culture in their spare time. They are also frequent visitors to the sports field. The kindness of these two international students has also givenOurstudents a new understanding of cross-cultural communication: although there are differences between cultures, they share the same kindness. Different countries and different ethnic groups should understand and respect each other, and respond to kindness with kindness. In the beauty of each, there is the beauty of all.

The journey of an iPad back to its owner not only safeguarded crucial study materials but also generated a touching echo of cross-cultural kindness on campus. The kind act of the two Chadian students not only demonstrated the continuation ofOurUniversity's "home culture" by international students but also deepened the friendship between Chinese and foreign students.
