The Regional Economic and Social Development Research Center of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology was established in July 2003. It is a multi-disciplinary pure academic research and application platform mainly focusing on regional economic and social development research.

Set up in 2015, “Economic and Social Development Research Center of Ganzhou” co-located with the Regional Economic and Social Development Research Center of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.

The Economic and Social Development Research Center of Ganzhou implements overall responsibility system (chief specialist of think tank) led by the Council of Ganzhou Economic and Social Development Research Center and the school, which takes full responsibility to the council and the school.

Since its establishment, the Regional Economic and Social Development Research Center of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology has maintained a close cooperation with Ganzhou government departments and counties, having made great contribute to the economic and social development of Ganzhou and formed a great influence that numerous research results and construction was highly affirmed by provincial and municipal leaders. The goal of the center is to build a center of regional economic and social development research of the cost area, to become an important think tank for government’s decisions and policies, and to become a training base of talents of regional economic and social development research.
