International economy and trade
The undergraduate major of international economy and trade was founded in 2003. Since 2014, the major of international economy and trade (Sino British Cooperative Education) has begun to recruit students. In 2014, it was approved to independently set up interdisciplinary master's point - mining trade and investment. In 2016, it was approved to be the second level master's point of international trade. At present, there are 10 full-time teachers, including 4 with doctorate degree and 4 with senior professional title. Teachers have a high level of scientific research, have undertaken many scientific research projects such as key projects of national social science foundation, won many awards such as the first prize of achievements of Humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of education, published many academic papers in authoritative journals such as world economy, and the research direction of academic team is closely combined with the school's excellence. This major has many time teaching places, such as international trade simulation laboratory, with simtrade, TMT, international settlement and other software. It emphasizes theory and practice and focuses on the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality to meet the needs of foreign trade practice. Students in the National College Students' foreign trade practice ability competition (pocib) have achieved good results.
This major cultivates senior compound talents who have the basic theory of economics, understand the rules and practices of contemporary international trade and the policies and regulations of China's foreign trade, and can engage in foreign trade practical business, economy, management, publicity and planning, foreign language, foreign trade teaching and research in foreign economic and trade departments, foreign-funded enterprises, government institutions, universities and scientific research institutions.
