In the golden autumn, with the fragrance of cinnamon and the New Year, the college welcomed a total of more than 700 freshmen of 2023. On September 6, the class 2023 welcome work officially began. Buses full of freshmen slowly entered the beautiful campus, and the smiling faces of joy and curiosity were greeted. Freshmen from all over the country, full of expectations, felt the warm welcome of the school.
In order to ensure that the orientation work is carried out in an orderly manner, volunteers are arranged at the orientation registration point of the college to provide timely help for freshmen and answer questions for freshmen and parents. Despite the drizzle and slight drop in temperature on the first day of school, the volunteers did not weaken their enthusiasm for service. They took the initiative to take over the luggage, guided the freshmen to go through the enrollment procedures, patiently answered the questions of freshmen and parents, and introduced the one-stop student community construction. The welcoming scene was crowded and orderly.
The college prepares a unique economic management gift package for freshmen - "Economic management person" unique canvas bag, U disk and ledger set. The cover of the gift box with green and gold as the background color is printed with "long wind and waves will sometimes hang the cloud sail and send the sea", and the few strokes of the gold thread beside it outline the beautiful scenery of the distant mountains and the ripples of the blue waves, representing the good wishes of the college for the freshmen, and also open the wonderful university life of the freshmen.
On the other side, accompanied by relevant personnel, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the school and the principal, Gentle Rui, came to guide the orientation of the new work, and communicated with students and parents, understood the basic situation of students, and encouraged them to be self-reliant, positive and optimistic, but also to bear hardships and work hard. During the orientation period, the leadership team of the college went deep into the site, walked into the student dormitories of F3, F4 and F6, kindly sympathize with the students, and let the freshmen feel the enthusiasm and care from the school and the college.
On the evening of September 7, the parents meeting of Grade 2023 freshmen was held as scheduled, and the school and college leaders went into each meeting venue to introduce the school history, school history and professional development for freshmen and parents, and answered questions on the spot.

On the evening of September 8, the 2023 freshman orientation work was a complete success, and the sincere, heart-warming preparation for the new orientation opened a new chapter in the life of the 2023 freshmen, and the college ushered in a new face, who will celebrate the story of metallurgy here, uphold the "three real spirit", and aspire to contribute to the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
